C.R.E.A.M.

Per the Providence Journal...

The Red Sox have narrowed their payroll gap with the Yankees. A year ago, the teams began the season $74.7 million apart ($195.2 million to $120.5 million). They began this season $39.3 million apart ($182.4 million to $143.1 million).

The Yankees' payroll includes only $15.6 million for Alex Rodriguez, as the Texas Rangers will pay him $7.1 million in salary and a $1 million share of his signing bonus this year.
