2007 NBA Mock Draft (Version 3.0)

It's late, and I cannot sleep (especially because we were acknowledged on Deadspin (http://deadspin.com/sports/blogdome/heres-why-usc-is-so-good-at-recruiting-272627.php) earlier today...yes, Deadspin - the #1 sports blog in the country. As I write this, it should be noted that I have acquired the sickest tan known to mankind in the last 48 hours...by way of using not even a drop of sunscreen.

I'm going to make these lottery selections short and sweet. I'll be back on in the morning to finish off picks #15 - 30 (I need to sleep on some of the forthcoming decisions).

1. Portland - Greg Oden, C
2. Seattle - Kevin Durant, SF
3. Atlanta - Al Horford, PF (between Horford & Yi)
4. Memphis - Mike Conley, PG (other possibilities include Horford, Brewer, & Noah)
5. Boston - Yi Jianlian, PF (between Yi, Brewer, & Green)
6. Milwaukee - Jeff Green, SF
7. Minnesota - Corey Brewer, SF
8. Charlotte - Brandan Wright, PF (this pick is almost surely to be traded, so this move could potentially throw a wrench into everything)
9. Chicago - Joakim Noah, PF
10. Sacramento - Spencer Hawes, C
11. Atlanta - Acie Law, PG (unless this pick is traded, this selection SHOULD be a lock)
12. Philadelphia - Al Thornton, SF (the Sixers desperately want to move up, as they have 3 1st Round picks to dangle)
13. New Orleans - Thaddeus Young, SF
14. LA Clippers - Julian Wright, SF (Quite honestly, I have no idea which way Clippers management will lean towards at this spot -- they clearly need shooting, and a lot of it...which would make Nick Young a logical selection. On the other hand, Georgia Tech's Javaris Crittenton also must be considered here, as Shaun Livingston's career is in limbo. If one potential stud is to drop in this draft, it will wrongfully be Julian Wright.)

The NBA Draft is here, and I couldn't be more pumped for it (to see my previous mock drafts, click the below links)!! Bring on the wings and beers!

Lights out for this guy! My story about my run-in with Peter Manfredo, Jr. on Tuesday will have to wait until later...
