Dennis and Callahan Stink

So everyone thinks this blog is dead....so what? Call me a hopeless romantic but in an attempt to keep oxygen flowing into the dead corpse that is this site, I'm going to continue to post. After the Pats put on an absolute clinic yesterday embarassing the Jets worse than Chieftain embarrases himself by showing up to a Jimmy Buffett show in a three piece suit. Beckett threw a gem yesterday as the Sox march towards the post-season. Despite all this going on this weekend, while I was listening to WEEI this morning, the dominating story (by far) was the fact that John Dennis and Gerry Callahan returned to the airwaves after a 140+ day holdout over contract issues. First let me preface this by saying that I don't know too many details of the situation so if there is someone out there that can enlighten please do. However, am I the only one that didn't miss these herbs at all? You'd think it was the second coming of Christ the way the callers were fawning all over these guys today. I mean the man was flowing BIG time over there this morning. Personally, I think Jerry Callahan is a no talent hack and every time he goes off on one of his rants (every 15 seconds or so) I want to cram a rag drenched with ether in his mouth. As for John Dennis, word on the street is that he brought a ridiculously hot daughter in this world and I think for that we can all be grateful, but I think his contributions to this planet stop there. He clearly brings nothing to the table, and is completely satisfied to sit back and talk about how great his golf game is during the whole show. Not only do these guys stink but they can beat a dead horse probably better than anyone in the history of beating or horses. If you tune in at 6:15 in the morning and they are arguing any point (no matter how small) chances are pretty good if you tune back in at 9:45 the same argument will be going on. No joke, its terrible.

So I may stand alone, when I say that I'm sorry the holdout is over. I thought Meter did a hell of a job carrying the team while those losers were out and personally I think he's the most talented out of the entire staff at EEI (except for Mike Adams whom I LOVE). What are your thoughts?

yes this bog is dead..

Orlando.. why don't you just say why you really do not like them.. they generally lean to the right and we all now that you are a lefty nut..Callahan can be over the top, but he is at least knowledgeable about stuff, unlike half the other hacks on that station (I am mainly talking about the BIG show... ).

Meter is the typical 3rd wheel, here is there to throw out anything that is contradictory to the masses just to get people to call in, so if that is what he is doing, great job, if he believes what he is saying.. then that is another point.

The fillins that they had were awful.. purely awful... I cannot put into words how bad they were.. Dan Patrick sounded like he wanted nothing to do with the place and was merely there to make his 500 bucks for showing up..

and why is it that I am not surprised that you like Mike Adams (whom I also like by the way...).. what would you and him have in common.... ?? The "baseball show" with him McAdam and Buckley is the best for its quality of info and insight on that station bar none, but it is on before noon on the weekends.. so you may have never heard it...

I agree Dennis & Callahan are over-rated. I think their value increased cause of all the jag offs they had filling in.

I don't know guys, I kinda like listening to whiny conservative blowhards ranting mindlessly about whatever news they can manage to read off the front page. Yup. That's how I like to start my day.

Got news for all of you.. they could not care less if you do not listen, they, dare I say they you are on the fringe of their demographic..

If you don't like it turn on ESPN radio.. Mike and Mike.. now that is entertaining... I'd rather listen to Imus

Here's some even better news: I could not care less if they care less if I do not listen.

And if you think that sentence is bad English, try reading your way through Rhodytrojan's double periods and sentences like "they, dare I say they you are on the fringe of their demographic". For serious? I'm pretty sure rewriting that just caused hemorrhaging in my brain.

Is this a blog or is this a dissertation? Man, get a life buddy if you are more concerned about the way something is written than the content, that is your problem.

And just for you:

Please, the three idiots in the morning make the three Stooges look positively cerebral in comparison. Callahan is a nazi masquerading as a right wing zealot, Dennis is a white bread (bred) midwestern clown lacking in the innate human quality to laugh at himself and worst of all is Meter in his Zelig-like obsequiousness to those only from whom he can realize professional gain he could not otherwise attain due to his singular lack of talent. Someday listen closely to that court jester and ask yourself: would I rather stick hot pokers in my eyes than listen to this idiot babble on nonsensically another minute. Go ahead, I dare you.P>S Someone go tell Callahan the lollipop guild is looking for members.
